Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos

The Narwal Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is one of the most efficient combos I've tested. Its base station comes with large dustbin as well as a water tank and its dual rubber brushes are less prone to hair tangles than single bristles.

Its mopping performance is excellent and its AI mapping excels in avoiding obstacles. It can also pause the cleaning process and resume from where it was when it stopped.

1. Roomba Combo j9+

The Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the most sophisticated 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop cleaners available on the market today. It comes with a sleek, self emptying Clean Base that can store up to two mopping cycles. It is designed to look just like a desk. It's also the sole robot mop we tested that comes with a built-in water reservoir that automatically cleans and refills the cleaning pads after each mopping and vacuum cycle.

The mopping arm rests quietly on the top of the unit until it is able to detect hard floors, and then lowers to begin cleaning. It moves slowly over surfaces to avoid spreading wet or muddy spills across carpeted areas. It is capable of staying clear of the path of furniture, cords and other obstacles.

The iRobot Home App is smarter than other robot vacuums. It allows you to modify the settings of your vacuum, prioritize rooms based on the amount of dirt, schedule cleaning times and more. The app provides you with precise maps of your home, seasonal suggestions, customized cleaning routines, as as smart home integrations that are intuitive.

This robot vac/mop uses iRobot’s Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to recognize objects such as tables, sofas, and counters. It can be controlled with Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri making it simple to keep your home clean.

Contrary to other mopping and vacuum robots like the Roomba J9+ makes a complete map of your home 7x faster than previous models and also labels each space by floor type, making sure that it'll always remember to vacuum or mop where you want it. It also features a new Turbo Mode which boosts suction power in tough places. With iRobot's Dirt Detective it can learn about your cleaning habits and make adjustments to the cleaning priorities and settings for the most soiled areas of your home.

2. Yeedi M12 Pro+

With its premium features and user-friendly app controls The Yeedi M12 Pro+ is an excellent competitor in the field of automated vacuum and mop robots. Its powerful suction power and innovative mopping technologies make it the perfect cleaning partner for smart homes. Its low cost and intelligent automation also make it a great choice for households that are on a budget.

To get started with the M12 device, simply download and launch the Yeedi app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network. After connecting, the app will ask you to choose a unique name for your new robot. The M12 only supports 2.4GHz networks.

Its advanced mopping functionality includes two spinning pads that are electronically controlled water and a "True Edge Adaptive Edge Mopping System" that ensures thorough cleaning of all floor edges.

Navigation-wise, the M12 uses LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors are good at detecting larger objects, like HVAC vents, and furniture. They may struggle to find smaller objects, such as cables or small rags. This can cause robots to miss areas.

The M12 also has the ability to detect and navigate stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It can also return automatically to its OMNI Station to dry and wash the mop brushes, and to refill its water tank. When the batteries run out, the OMNI Station can even clean itself and empty the dustbin when its batteries are empty.

3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is the cutting-edge in robot cleaning, packing a staggering number of features into an elegant package. It comes with a large mopping capacity and a camera to assist it in avoiding obstacles. It also comes with a powerful vacuum that detects when it is going over carpets. It also has advanced technology and voice assistant capabilities.

It performs impressively as a vacuum cleaner and mop, and can complete our 1,500 square foot test area in just 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. Its mop washes itself in between use, which lowers maintenance costs and keeps its pads clean. A dock sensor is able to detect when a mop pad becomes dirty and initiates a wash cycle.

The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors, features an intelligent system which can recognize household items like pet waste and shoes using a combination of a camera and LIDAR. It performed well in our test of obstacle avoidance and had only one issue during my tests (it was stuck while unwinding a wool ball that was tangled up around its brush arm).

The S8 MaxV Ultra comes with a suction force of 10,000pa which is more than two times the power of its predecessor. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of carpet and a mix of floor kinds. The vacuum can be programmed to automatically increase the suction when it moves over crumbs or dust.

Similar to previous models, there are docking stations that can be installed in different rooms to help automate the process of cleaning and mopping. The docking station can be connected to the plumbing system and drain and replenish the water tank after you're done.

It can be instructed to clean up areas that are dirty and to increase suction around pet litter and food bowls. The X40 Ultra is programmable to accomplish specific tasks, such as cleaning the bathroom toilet or kitchen sink. It is also able to automatically lift its front side brush when it detects wet areas, and then clean debris from baseboards and corners.

The X40 Ultra is easy to install and use, with an intuitive and simple app and a wide range of features. It is quieter than other corded vacuums. The only sound is occasional low hums from its motor, and short moments of sucking during cleaning. Its navigation system is impressive and utilizes an image camera with 3D-structured light and multiple lasers to identify and avoid obstacles, and this makes the X40 Ultra achieve one of the top scores for obstacles in our tests.

5. Eufy S1 Pro

The Eufy S1 Pro is an impressively powerful mop and vacuum combination that has been developed to be easy for users. The gunmetal base station fills its own tank with clean water, empties the dustbin into a smaller container and washes and dries its own mop pads during cleaning sessions. It is equipped with advanced features that allow it to switch between hard and carpet surfaces, and remove pet hair from carpets and clean raised room thresholds.

The S1 Pro's navigation and maps are outstanding, and the internal dToF LiDAR device allowing it to maintain the appearance of a slim profile while providing top-quality object avoidance. It drives close to walls without crashing, and avoiding steps, and it can also raise its mop when it drives over rugs and short-pile carpets. It had a difficult time when it came across carpets with longer piles and also some long, thick messes with dried-on debris.

Like many robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box, and requires only the initial mapping run to figure out how it can navigate your home.
